We hit
Old Town Clovis in style. Vintage style. Charlize and Karissa took a step back in time and dressed to impress. I must say, they turned a few heads as they walked by the storefronts with the paparazzi on their tail. Our first stop was
Fifth Street Antiques where we drooled over all the treasures! It's definitely a must-see if you're in the area. After we got our fill of antiquing we headed over to
Soups, Scoops & More and enjoyed the 50's atmosphere. It seems like the go-to place for some refreshing ice cream on a hot afternoon.
We spent more time than we should have at
Clovis Book Barn browsing the two stories of used books. The cozy reading nooks and shiny wood floors were a dream. We would have loved to buy all the books, as they continuously encouraged us to do, but we didn't bring the semi this trip, haha! If you're looking for a classic fiction or nonfiction, they have it all. They even have some old yearbooks from local high schools. Stop by and buy a book or two. Support local.
We ended the afternoon at
Triangle Burgers on Shaw & Villa. It was such a treat! It's a sparkling clean 50's style diner with black checkered floors, red chrome stools, and diamond plate-covered walls. The burgers were fantastic and the service was spectacular. It was a great day.
